IMNA (Masjid Al Ittehad) is a religious institution adhering to a moderate interpretation of Islam that is spiritually rich and contextually relevant. We believe God is One and Prophet Mohammed is the last of many Prophets (i.e. Jesus and Moses - peace be upon them all).
We strive to assist the Muslim community in fostering Islamic values by providing religious, educational, interfaith relations and social services for the betterment of humanity.
​We promote dialogue and work with people of all faiths.

As a house of worship, our mosque also serves as a place of companionship, communal identification, children's education and information exchange.

MI imam

SHAYKH YASSER KASSEM

A graduate of Al-Azhr university in 1998, then got drafted in Egypt Army for a year.
Sheikh Yasser Memorized Quran at the age of 10 years.
He graduated from Al- Azhar with a bachelor degree in Islamic Studies in English.

He is experienced as:

• Imam for Masjid Al Ittehad from 2022 onwards.
• Imam for Masjid Al Ittehad from 2010 to 2020.
• Islamic studies Teacher for New Horizon Islamic school in Santa Monica, CA 2009 to 2010.
• Imam for Masjid Al Ittehad 2008 to 2009.
• Islamic studies Teacher at Islamic Academy of Riverside, CA 2003-2006.
• Imam at the Islamic Society of Central Louisiana, Alexandria , LA 2000-2002
